GIVING HEARTS PROJECT

Our Giving Hearts Project April - May 4th:
CEREAL Food for the food bank
at the First Presbyterian Church, Jamesburg.

Your support helps families in neighboring
communities as well as your own
.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY.

"We lift our prayers to you, God of Love,
on behalf of our brothers and sisters in need."

Jesus, one day speaking to his followers: “…For I was hungry and you gave me
something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a
stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and
you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’  “Then the
righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or
thirsty and give you something to drink?  When did we see you a stranger and invite
you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison
and go to visit you?’  Jesus will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of
the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:35-47 (NIV)

It is a joy to see the smiles on the faces of children each day as
they arrive at school to greet their teachers and their friends;
The enthusiasm continues t
hroughout the day as they are
engaged in learning.  We consider it a privilege when parents
choose to partner with us in educating their children.
We live in a rapidly changing world that sends many mixed
messages to our children.  The Christian school is the place
where the beliefs and values of your church and your home are
reinforced and not contracted.  We believe that the Christian
school helps children realize that Christian life-views and world-
views are constant, and not something that should be "left at
the
door or kept inside yourself" as one of our student's prior
public school teachers told her when the child offered to pray
for a sick classmate.

“Christian schools are the only schools that can be intentional
about teaching students to fulfill Christ’s two great
commandments of loving God and loving their neighbor.  This is
a core distinctive that separates Christian schooling from its
secular counterpart….”   Daniel J. Egeler, EdD
We believe that the purpose of a Christian school is the
education of children. This education is presented by Christian
teachers who teach based on an understanding of learning.

“The integration of Biblical truth and values with the rest of
life, is expressed through the lives of the teachers in Christian
schools whose daily witness to the meaning of mature faith and
Christian living has a profound impact upon the education and
formation of their pupils.”  Teach Them

I welcome the opportunity to speak with you about our school.

Nadean D. Sheppard,  Head of School

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

The school is open to students of any race, color,
national, ethnic or religious origin.

When children leave Providence Christian Academy to pursue their next level of

understanding,
 Socially responsible: understanding their relationship to the immediate
community in which they live and the world at large, striving to love their
neighbor as themselves, and
 Biblically rooted: viewing their life and the world from God’s perspective

We will be forever thankful to
Father Thomas O'Connor
for opening his arms and heart to us:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
